Ticketmaster

I recently attempted to buy concert tickets online through Ticketmaster's web site. After specifying the number and class of seats desired, I was presented with the following form. Note that Ticketmaster graciously gives me 3:00 minutes to complete this form. If I can't complete this form in this time, I lose the tickets that I'm trying to buy. Keep in mind that Ticketmaster also charges me $7.50 per ticket for a "convenience" fee.

Shown below is the top portion of the form. This section displays a confirmation of the seats that I wished to purchase. Note that it took approximately one minute to consult my notes and the seating chart to ensure that these were correct. (By the way, you can't hit the back button to verify these seats with those shown on an earlier page, which would have taken far less than a minute.)

Shown below is the middle section of the form. Note that it contains all of the fields that must be entered before I can press the Submit Order button. It easily took more than two minutes to complete this section. I'd guess that at least two minutes were spent entering and verifying my credit card number. Like most people, I don't have my credit card number or expiration date memorized, and I worry about making a mistake entering this information.

Shown below is the last section of the form. Here I'm presented with information that doesn't even pertain to the credit card that I'm using, though I skim it anyway to ensure that I don't need to act on anything. Finally, I must read three paragraphs instructing me about the lack of refunds and how Ticketmaster will share my information with various parties. By this time, I likely hit the five minute mark, while feeling very nervous that I have taken way to long to read and act on all of the information that Ticketmaster provided to me.

Sure enough, I click "Submit Order" and I receive the following error page that does nothing but enable me to navigate back to the previous form page. I'm now stuck in an endless loop of form and error page without knowing exactly what the error is or how to purchase my seats that, by this time, I have surely lost.

I'm certainly happy that I'm paying this company over $30.00 dollars in convenience charges. Where's the convenience in this experience?
